Lake Washington School District Announces New Principals
The changes will take place for the 2012-2013 school year.

The announced the following administrative changes for the 2012-2013 school year on Tuesday:
- Steven ThatcherΒ has been selected to serve as the new associate principal atΒ Eastlake High School. Steven currently serves a full-time assistant principal/intern at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School in Salt Lake City.
- Heather FrazierΒ will become the principal atΒ Sandburg ElementaryΒ andΒ Discovery Community SchoolΒ in Kirkland. Heather currently serves as the assistant principal at in Redmond. Heather replacesΒ Mark Blomquist, who will move to an associate principal position atΒ Inglewood Middle School. Mark replacesΒ Monica Garcia, who will move to an elementary associate principal position, servingΒ Rosa Parks ElementaryΒ and several other large elementary schools on the east side of the district.
- Erin BowserΒ has been selected as the new principal forΒ Β andΒ . Erin replaces Laurynn Evans, who is leaving the district. Erin currently serves as the assistant principal at Rose Hill Junior High and Stella Schola.
- Sean Cassidy, the current assistant principal at , has been selected as the principal atΒ . He replaces Jan Olson, who is retiring.
- Michael GriffenΒ has been selected to serve as the new associate principal atΒ Rose Hill MiddleΒ SchoolΒ andΒ Stella Schola Middle School. Currently, Michael serves as the assistant principal at Lakes High School (Clover Park School District) in Pierce County.
- Jeff LarsonΒ has been selected to serve in the new associate principal position atΒ (RHS).Β Jeff has been at Redmond High School since 2004, teaching Math and Health, and serving as the head coach for Boysβ Basketball.Β This year, Jeff supported the administrative team at RHS by serving as a part time athletic director and portfolio coordinator.
