Man Points Handgun in 'Road Rage' on NE Inglewood Hill Rd. β€” Sammamish PD Blotter

The following information from March 1-15 was supplied by the Sammamish Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sammamish Police are recommending weapon-related charges be brought against a 32-year-old man after he pointed a handgun at another driver March 12 on NE Inglewood Hill Road in an apparent "road-rage" incident.

According to witnesses, the suspect was driving a blue 2010 Ford Ranger eastbound on NE Inglewood Hill Rd. and was stopped at the intersection with E. Lake Sammamish Parkway at around 4:15 p.m. next to a black Mazda sedan. When the light turned green, the Mazda merged left behind the Ford Ranger and the driver began waving a handgun in the rear window. The blue truck turned right and the driver then pointed the handgun out the side window and pointed it in the Mazda's direction.

Police later contacted the driver of the Ford about the incident, which he denied. He surrendered a Ruger SR9C handgun from a waistband holster, fully loaded and a round in the chamber.
