Sammamish-Issaquah Forecast: Wet Weather To Ring In The New Year
A trio of weather systems will mean wet weather in Washington through the new year, including a healthy dose of mountain snow by Thursday.

SAMMAMISH, WA β Wednesday promises the return of winter weather in Washington, as the first of three systems arrives packed with heavy rain, mountain snow and high winds. While there should be a few brief breaks in the wet pattern, rain will stay in the cards for most well into the first week of 2021.
According to the National Weather Service, several snowstorms are forecast over the Cascades in the coming days, with the possibility of dangerous avalanche conditions developing by Wednesday and lasting into the weekend. Stevens, Snoqualmie and White passes are expected to pick up between 1 and 2 feet of fresh snow by Thursday morning.

Forecasters said minor flooding would be possible in some low lying areas, especially along the coast and Peninsula. The coast will also have a chance for thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon.
