Services Planned for Sammamish Native Claire Thompson

Claire Thompson, the 20-year-old Eastlake graduate who was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Redmond, will be remembered by friends and family at a service Saturday, Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. at Mars Hill Church  at 120 228th Ave N.E.

She was a student at Seattle Central Community College and planned to transfer to the University of Hawaii to study nursing. Her family described her as a wonderful young lady with a warm heart and a dedicated love for cats and nature, as well as a passion for music and dancing.

Thompson is survived by her mother, Diane Benveniste (Morrie); her father, Lee Thompson; her older brother, Warren Thompson; and her younger sister, Madeline Thompson; grandmother, Judith McKeand; grandfather, H. Keith Thompson; aunts, Diana Teoli (Bill), Janet Sylvester (Doug); uncles, Clay Thompson and Kenneth McKeand; as well as many cousins and extended family members.
