Special Olympics Torch Run Comes Through Sammamish Friday
Neighbors are invited down to see Friday's torch run led by the Sammamish Police Explorers.
SAMMAMISH, WA — The Special Olympics torch will make its way through Sammamish on Friday afternoon, with a journey beginning at City Hall. Sammamish police officer Will Weisberg will lead the a group of Sammamish Police Explorers on a 15-minute run, ending at the South Sammamish Park & Ride.
Everyone is invited to come down and check out the torch run, which is scheduled to begin Friday at 1:30 p.m. Runners will jog along the sidewalk on 228th Avenue Southeast, and spectators are asked to be mindful not to block the route itself.
