'Streatery' Returns To Issaquah's Front Street This Weekend

"Al Fresco on Front" returns to Downtown Issaquah for the next four weekends, transforming Front Street into a pedestrian playground.

ISSAQUAH, WA β€” For the next four weekends, a stretch of Issquah's Front Street will be closed to vehicles from morning until night, as the city brings back its popular "streatery" program. Al Fresco on Front returns on Aug. 21, transforming the downtown street into a pedestrian playground on Saturdays and Sundays.

The weekend closures will be in place between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. through Sept. 12.

Here are the vehicle closure points:

  • Front Street N between Sunset Way & NW Dogwood St
  • NW Alder Pl between 1st Ave NW and Front Street
  • NE Alder Street will be closed to all through vehicle traffic

Prioritizing the area for pedestrians and cyclists also gives restaurants and local businesses more outdoor space to utilize for family fun, including restaurant seating, art displays, music and other activities.
