Update: No Residential Waste Management Pickup in Sammamish Tuesday, July 31

The strike continues today, commercial routes will be serviced.

Waste Management said in a release on its web site this morning that residential service will not be provided to many areas today due to an ongoing labor strike.

In Sammamish, this affects residences north of Inglewood Hill Road and NE 8th Street. The company and the workers union, Teamsters Local 117, have so far

Commercial Customers:

On Monday, experienced WM substitute drivers made significant progress servicing commercial customers across Puget Sound.Β  On Tuesday, we will deploy even more commercial routes.Β  If you are a Tuesday customer, please set out and/or unlock your containers as you normally would on a service day.

Residential Customers:

If Tuesday is your collection day, and your city is listed below, your regularly scheduled service will not be provided today.Β  Waste Management says it will collect up to twice your regular amount of missed services on your next regular service day at no additional charge.Β 

If your City/WUTC area is not listed below, assume your regular collection schedule.
