WSP Seeks Witnesses After Shots Fired On Interstate 90
Troopers arrested a man last Friday accused of firing his shotgun into the median of Interstate 90 near State Route 18.

ISSAQUAH, WA β State troopers are seeking additional witnesses who saw a driver speeding down Interstate 90 last week, then firing several gunshots into a median. The incident prompted a large emergency response on April 15, including members of the Washington State Patrol, King County Sheriff's Office, Issaquah Police Department and Snoqualmie/North Bend Police Department.
According to WSP, 911 callers reported a gray Dodge Challenger speeding eastbound on I-90 and passing vehicles on the shoulder shortly after noon last Friday. Troopers said the driver stopped in the left lane near State Route 18, then left the vehicle armed with a shotgun and handgun, before firing off the shotgun toward the median.
After closing the highway in both directions, law enforcement successfully arrested the shooting suspect without incident, and WSP said no people were injured or vehicles struck by the gunfire. As the investigation continues, troopers ask any drivers who witnessed any part of the incident to contact detectives via e-mail.
