Reminder: King County Primary Ballots Due Tuesday
The King County Parks Levy, County Council District 1 seat and two Ronald Wastewater District seats are before voters in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park.

Voters in Shoreline and Lake Forest ParkΒ will help determine the fate of aΒ King County parks levyΒ intended to replace two expiring 2007 levy lid lifts.
The proposed six-year lid lift on Tuesday's primary ballot amounts to 18 cents per $1,000 of assessed propertyΒ value, 8 cents more than the previous two levies of 5 cents each. If it passes, the new levy would result in an increase of by $26.31 for a home valued at $300,000.
The Lake Forest Park City Council recently approved a resolution in support of the levy.
How do you plan to vote on the parks levy?Β Tell us in the comments section.
Funds from the levy would be used to maintain the county's parks and trailsΒ and to expand the regional trail system. (More info on the levy can be found here.)
The measure requires a simple majority to pass.
