Pierce County Library System will be open in some locations today, Jan. 20, from noon to 5 p.m., due to slushy and icy roads and power outages. The Library System is assessing which libraries will open.
The following locations may be open at noon to 5 p.m.: DuPont, Fife, Gig Harbor, Graham, Key Center, Lakewood, Milton/Edgewood, Parkland/Spanaway and University Place Pierce County Libraries, as well as the Library System’s Processing and Administrative Center.
The following locations will not be open today: Bonney Lake, Buckley, Eatonville, Orting, South Hill, Sumner and Tillicum Pierce County Libraries. The Library System is still determining whether Steilacoom and Summit Pierce County Libraries will open today.
The Library is assessing which libraries will open and plans to update its website at www.piercecountylibrary.org by 11 a.m. today, with further information.
