Some of the guys on the roster for TCC’s Dec. 15 Men’s Basketball Alumni Game haven’t played college hoops since ’01, ’02, or ’03. But that doesn’t mean the 2012-13 team can expect the game to be a walk in the park when they take on the alumni at 2 p.m. Dec. 15.
“I don’t think there’s any NWAACC team that’s going to have the talent my Alumni team has,” said TCC Men’s Basketball Head Coach Carl Howell. “We’ve been blessed with a great program, and with that comes great players. Several of the guys on the roster were ex-Division I players, and they were all impact players when they were here.”
Howell leaped at the opportunity to match his current players against the stars of previous seasons when the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) passed a new rule allowing schools to play an alumni game that doesn’t count against their season totals.

The 2012-13 Titans play their first home game this weekend. The Dec. 8 game vs. Skagit Valley starts at 7 p.m. The Titan Women’s Basketball team plays their first home game vs. Pierce Jan. 5 at 3 p.m.
