Battle in the Orchard is Thursday in University Place

Mark your calendar for a special free, all-ages concert this week in University Place - the 2013 Battle in the Orchard.

It's the final round for the three finalists from the initial talent competition (read more on Patch). A winning band will be chosen and they will go on to play the big stage at the University Place Festival on Aug. 3, 2013.

This week's Summer Concert Series will be held at the Curran Apple Orchard, 3920 Grandview Drive West on June 27, 2013. The music begins at 6:30 and concludes at 8 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will relocate to the Curtis Sr. High School Cafeteria. 

Hotdogs and other goodies are available from the U.P. Kiwanis for purchase.
