Beckonridge Drive Sidewalk Project to Help Kids Walk to School

This fall, local students who live along Beckonridge Drive West will have a new and safe route to walk to school.Â
The Beckonridge Sidewalk Project is being completed by the city of University Place, as part of the Safe Routes to School Project and highlighted on PC-TV. Construction is currently underway, where 2,600 feet of sidewalks, curbs and gutters are being installed on Beckonridge Drive W., between Cirque Drive W. and Grandview Drive W.
The project includes a buffer zone to help pedestrians feel more secure, plus street lights, crosswalks and bike lanes.

Construction is expected to wrap up this summer and, when finalized, will connect to the three miles of sidewalk on Grandview Drive W.Â
