Body Found Wrapped In Tarp, Tacoma Police Investigating

Police are investigating after a body was found wrapped in a tarp early Thursday morning in downtown Tacoma.

TACOMA, WA — The Tacoma Police Department is investigating after a corpse was found wrapped in a tarp early Thursday.

According to the police department, dispatchers received a call at 3:32 a.m. Thursday morning from a witness who had found the body in the 200 block of E. 23rd Street.

Officers responded and quickly determined that the victim, an adult man, was deceased. Detectives and crime scene technicians were then called to the scene for further investigation.
