UP Council Meeting Canceled, City Hall Closing Early
University Place city officials decided to close City Hall at 2 p.m. Monday and cancel the regular city council meeting due to weather.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - Following in the footsteps of schools and other city government facilities across the region Monday, University Place city officials have decided to close City Hall early and cancel this evening's council meeting.
Snow accumulation across the Puget Sound has reached roughly a half-foot in many areas, with some cities and neighborhoods at higher elevations seeing even deeper snowfall.
In response to continued inclement weather, the city has decided to close City Hall at 2 p.m. Feb. 4. Additionally, the Stormwater Management Program public hearing and city council meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tonight were also canceled.

The Pierce County Library System and University Place School District on Monday morning announced closures and class cancellations as well.
