Don't Try And Pay Your Tacoma Public Utilities Bill Online This Weekend

Customers will not be able to pay their utility bills online this weekend because of an update to the City of Tacoma’s computer system. The online bill payment site, TacomaServices.org, will not be available from 6 p.m. tonight, to 6 p.m. Nov. 11.

The utility offers other payment options, including 13 Pay Boxes throughout Pierce County and pay over-the-phone. Payments made using these tools will be credited toward to customers’ accounts in the morning on Nov. 12.

“Once a year we schedule maintenance to our computer system, which helps us provide better service to our customers in the long run, though we recognize it can be an inconvenience to customers.” said John Hoffman, Tacoma Public Utilities Operations Manager. “This weekend, customers can still use our other payment options, but their payments will not be applied to their accounts until Monday morning. This delay will not affect their service.”

Customers who want to pay their bills at a Pay Box can do so at one of 12 locations:

Phone payment system down Nov. 16 to Nov. 18.
The over-the-phone bill payment system will be unavailable from 6 p.m. on Nov. 16 to 6 p.m. Nov. 18. Customers may pay their bills online or at a Pay Box during this time.
