UP Power Outage Caused By Falling Tree Branches
Tacoma Public Utilities said 2,500 customers lost power for about 30 minutes after tree branches fell onto power lines in University Place.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - Falling tree branches reportedly caused a power outage in University Place Wednesday morning, affecting about 2,500 Tacoma Public Utilities' customers for a brief time.
Tacoma Public Utilities announced the outage on Twitter around 7 a.m. Jan. 9, and then announced power had been restored around 7:30 a.m.
About 2,500 customers without power in University Place. Crews are on their way. Cause unknown at this time.

The outage in University Place was caused by tree branches falling on lines. Crews have fixed the problem and everyone should have power now. Call 253-502-8602 if you still are w/o power.
