Rollover Accident in Front of Homestead Park Caused by Inattentive Driver

A dangerous crash that occurred on Bridgeport Way, in front of Homestead Park, had neighbors worried over Memorial Day weekend. 

Patch was tipped off about this accident by concerned resident and UP Patch blogger Christie Anderson, who captured some images of the crash, which occurred on May 25.

The accident was caused by an inattentive driver, said UP Police Chief Mike Blair. While driving southbound on Bridgeport Way, the driver swerved, overcorrected and jumped the median. 

"The vehicle rolled and impacted another vehicle that was northbound [on Bridgeport Way,]" said Blair. "There were no reported injuries, just soreness."

Blair also said that alcohol and drugs were not a factor in this crash.
