National Night Out

On Tuesday evening, University Place Police, West Pierce Fire & Rescue, the U.P. City Council, Fire and City Commissioners and staff will be caravanning all around UP in police and fire vehicles visiting all University Place neighborhoods that have registered.

Concert in the Park - Maia Santell

Place: Curran Apple Orchard
Always a crowd pleaser, Maia Santell takes the stage Thursday singing some blues, jazz and swing favorites. The Summer Concert Series is held at the Curran Apple Orchard, 3920 Grandview Drive West.Â
UP Historical Society Presentation with Local Historian
Date: Weds., Aug. 7, 2013
Time: 7 p.m.
Place: Suite D-2 in Windmill Village
Learn about UP's past with Steve Anderson, a 1972 Curtis High School grad and executive director of the Carteret County Historical Museum in Moorhead, North Carolina. His talk is entitled "Tales from Sahagalie Palielah: The Pre-pioneer History of University Place." The event is free and open to non-Historical Society members.
University Place City Council Meeting

Time: 6:30Â p.m.
Place: University Place City Hall
The University Place City Council will hear a presentation from Police Chief Mike Blair on the city's crime statistics in the first quarter and will discuss and vote on an ordinance regarding overnight camping in UP parks, with an event permit.
Foot Care Clinic at the UP Senior Center

This is a visiting health care service for seniors and others who want routine nail care for their feet. R.N.'s and L.P.N.'s provide all foot care. $27 (Pay Nurse).
