Join the Library for stories, songs, rhymes and crafts. This free class is designated for children ages 3-6.
Rocks, Gems and MineralsÂ
Fri., Aug. 16, 2013
1 p.m. at the University Place Library
Pick up tips to identify and dig up rocks and minerals. Watch tumblers and other equipment. Bring 2 rocks or minerals to be identified. This free class is for families with children ages 6 and up.
Drive in Movie Night at the LeMay Car Museum

4:30 p.m. at the LeMay Car Museum
On Saturday, August 17, ACM continues its Drive-In Movie Series with the showing of "Love Bug" on a 40-foot movie screen on ACM’s spacious outdoor Haub Family Field. Movie-goers can park and watch the film – for free – from their vehicle or spread out on the grass with blankets and chairs.
Food will be available for purchase and inflatable bounce houses will be free for children. Museum hours will be extended to 8 p.m. so visitors can cruise among the cars inside ACM before the movie starts.

Imagine treasure hunting at scores of garage sales without driving all day. The last Junk in Your Trunk community sale at Sprinker Recreation Center happens this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
