T-Town Aces is a veritable all-star band of Pacific Northwest blues musicians. Lead singer Mark DuFresne was formerly with the Grammy nominated band Roomful of Blues and has toured Europe fronting his own band. In his honor the Washington Blues Society calls its annual male vocalist award The Mark Dufresne Best Male Vocalist Award. The other members, Dennis Ellis on sax, Tom Boyle on guitar, Billy Spaulding on keyboards, Les White on bass, and David Hudson on drums, are all veteran musicians with extensive credits playing with local and national acts. Some of the top blues artists they've backed up include Humbert Sumlin, Pinetop Perkins, Jimmy McCracklin, Junior Watson, Candye Kane, and Duffy Bishop. In 2020 The T-Town Aces won the Washington Blues Society's award for Best Recording for their disc "Grit City."
Velvet's Big Easy will also be on site serving up "Big Easy Style" New Orleans Cajun and Creole cuisines while you enjoy live music on the square!
