UP Patch Needs Mom-Writers For Upcoming Column

We're looking for moms who can produce helpful, educational and fun.

Mothers have a lot to say.

So why not have your voice published on a community news website and get paid a little moola in the process? This is your chance.

University Place Patch is looking for interested moms who can produce weekly articles that other moms will find enjoyable and educational. We're looking for moms who can find deals, exchange tips and share the joys (and challenges) of having kids. We want to hear your opinion on hot national issues such as "sexting," video games and preparing for college.

UP Patch wants to hire two or three moms who can file at least one, 200-300 word column every week. You'll get paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $25 to $50 per column, depending on how long and detailed your stuff is. Most importantly, you'll be a full-fledged contributor to an increasingly popular, local news website that's turning some heads.

If you're interested, send me an e-mail at brent.champaco@patch.com. Those with professional, conversational writing experience would be great, but we're also looking for newcomers who can keep Patch visitors coming back. Send a published writing sample or a "practice" column that indicates what you could bring to the motherly table.
