Walmart to Hire 300 New Employees with Opening of Tacoma Store

A Walmart hiring center is now open in Tacoma as the megagrocer looks to fill 300 new positions in its new location.

Walmart plans to hire 300 new workers to open its new Tacoma location at 23rd Street and Union Avenue, according to The Tacoma News Tribune. 

A temporary employment center has opened to recieve the influx of job applications and is located at 15 S. Oregon Ave., Suite 401.

Office hours are Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

The corporation is looking to hire part-time and full-time employees, who would start as early as June to open the store this summer. The store will include a full grocery selection, apparel, electronics, outdoor gardening center, pharmacy, bakery and deli.
