WHAT SHOULD GO HERE? The Keg Steakhouse & Bar
The Canada-based company confirmed last month that it wasn't renewing its lease in University Place. We ask you, Patch users, what do you think should go in its place?
Earlier this month, Patch broke the news that The Keg Steakhouse & Bar was closing its doors in University Place.
The Canada-based company announced that it wasn't going to renew its lease at its building on Mildred Street West. University Place is one of two locations in Washington the company is shuttering (Renton being the other).
A company spokesman says the decision was based on economics, as well as the condition of the building.

The news prompted an outpour from restaurant-goers who were shocked and disappointed at the restaurant's pending departure Jan. 19.
"I am older than most here and grew up 2 blocks from here," commented user Maryanne Zukowski, "and have fond family memories of taking my daughter to the movies and dinner on Xmas eve."

A few Patch users commented that the public should lobby the company to remain at the UP location. Hopefully they can make something good happen.
Barring that, however, The Keg will be gone next month after 31 years. The next logical question once it does is what will take its place.
So we put the question to you, Patch users: If The Keg closes its doors as scheduled, what should replace it? Another steakhouse? A restaurant? Another type of business?
