Watch: Video Of Donald Trump Rally In Everett, Washington

Trump spoke Tuesday night at Xfinity Arena of Everett.

Donald Trump held a rally in Everett, Washington, on Tuesday evening, another stop for the Republican nominee in a state that doesn't seem like it will be much of a contest in November's general election.

TRUMP WILL MEET MEXICAN PRESIDENT WEDNESDAY

Hillary Clinton is expected to win the traditionally liberal state by a comfortable margin, yet Trump made his case to voters there at a rally scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Pacific Time from Xfinity Arena. This followed Trump campaign stops in Texas and Mississippi, two uncontested states expected to swing heavily in favor of Trump.

The event also came as Trump has made a concerted effort to court black voters, who view him unfavorably in historic numbers. Everett's population is 75.8 percent white, according to Census Bureau data.

Like most things Trump, Tuesday's rally did not come without its share of controversy.

Trump's campaign included two businessmen with ties to Portland among the hosts of a fundraiser planned for Tuesday in Seattle despite the fact neither gave permission — and neither is supporting Trump's candidacy.

Gordon Sondland, whose Provenance Hotels owns part of the Lucia, deLuxe, Sentinel and Westin hotels in downtown Portland, and Bashar Wali, the president of the company, are both listed among the hosts.

"Historically, Mr. Sondland has been supportive of the Republican party's nominees for President," Kate Buska, spokeswoman for the businessmen, told reporters.

"However, in light of Mr. Trump's treatment of the Khan family and the fact his constantly evolving positions diverge from their personal beliefs and values on so many levels, neither Mr. Sondland or Mr. Wali can support his candidacy."

Clinton holds a 43- to 24-point lead over Trump in Washington, a state that has voted Democrat in the general election since 1984. That's according to an Elway Poll that surveyed 500 registered voters in Washington between Aug. 9 and 13 and had a 4.5 percent margin of error.
