Woodinville Police Department, KCSO Take Part in Sting Operation

Police conducted an undercover operation regarding internet escort service ads in the North King County area.

WOODINVILLE, WA—The King County Sheriff’s Office and Woodinville Police Department, a sheriff's office contract city, recently conducted an undercover operation regarding internet escort service ads in the North King County area.

On Aug. 6, police said detectives were able to complete a one day operation where six females, ages 19-23, were contacted by detectives after responding to an ad for sexual services.

Police said the females were all provided services as an opportunity to interrupt the unsafe, violent cycles of prostitution.

Four males, the youngest in his 20’s and the oldest in his 60’s, were arrested at the location and had significant past criminal histories. All four males are facing felony charges for investigation of promoting prostitution and other related charges.

According to Washington State Child Protective Services, 75 percent of all sexually exploited minors are active in the metro King County area.

Additional felony firearms and robbery charges are being investigated resulting from this operation after detectives said they foiled a potential robbery of an undercover officer.
