RUSD Schools Closing Early Tuesday Because of Snowstorm
With Racine County under a winter storm watch Tuesday, district decides to end classes earlier than normal.

Racine Unified schools will closed two hours early Tuesday because of a winter storm that could dump as much as 8 inches of snow in the area.
"Due to the inclement weather, all RUSD schools will have a two-hour early release Tuesday, March 5," the district said on its website. "School buses will return students home two hours earlier than normal. Afternoon 4K is canceled."
The decision comes after the district announced on Monday afternoon that all after-school programs and activities on Tuesday were canceled. That includes Lighted Schoolhouse and the middle school AfterZones program.
