Truck vs. Motorcycle Sends One to Hospital

The 24-year-old driver of a motorcycle went to the hospital Friday after he struck the back bumper of a pick-up truck.

Caledonia police were called at 3:15 p.m. Friday to a spot on Highway 31 just north of 6-Mile Road for a report of a truck vs. motorcycle accident. 

Witnesses told officers they saw Hart backing out of his driveway in the 7000 block of Highway 31 when an orange motorcycle tried to swerve out of the way and struck the back bumper of the truck.

Brian Hart, 39, was driving the truck, and he reportedly told police he looked both ways before backing out of his driveway.

The motorcycle driver – Zachary Pittsley – suffered a broken leg in the accident and was cited for not having a motorcycle license.
