Hello and welcome!

My name is Denise Lockwood, and I am the local editor for Caledonia.Patch.com. I've called Caledonia home for seven years, and I am excited about this website because it will truly reflect the community.

As a journalist with over 10 years of experience in community journalism, I've earned a number of awards for my writing from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and a graduate certificate in advanced professional writing from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. I've written for the Kenosha News, CNI, and Southern Lakes Newspapers. And I've freelanced for the Milwaukee Magazine, Prime Magazine and She Magazine. 

My team of freelance writers and I feel strongly about providing you with a credible and authentic news experience that you won't have to wait for the next day to read. You'll see us with our laptops and cameras at community meetings, in your schools, and at little league games. We'll tell you about new businesses, when that pothole in your neighborhood will be fixed, and larger issues like the potential of Interstate 794 expanding.

This is a site about the community in Caledonia and Wind Point. We offer a comprehensive business directory that includes businesses, nonprofits, churches, schools... everything. So if you are in Caledonia or Wind Point and you don't see your business or entity listed, feel free to list it in our free business directory. Also, if you are a nonprofit and want to list an event in our calendar, feel free to add it to our event listing. And if you have an announcement (births, weddings, work promotions, deaths, engagements, religious announcement, your kid's concert, etc.), list it under announcements.
