WISN: Racine Woman Held Captive, Forced into Prostitution, She Says
The woman called family in Racine on Tuesday after escaping from captivity in a hotel room in Milwaukee.
A Racine woman who said she escaped from being captivity — where she was held since late May — also said she was forced into prostitution during that time.
Police are investigating the incident that occurred in Milwaukee, Patch's news partner WISN 12 reports; the woman said her captors threatened her life if she didn't work for them as a prostitute.
The woman called family in Racine on Tuesday after escaping, WISN reports. Police have searched the hotel room where she said she was held, but haven't released details on what was found.
