New Dog Haus Locations Destined For Ballpark Commons And Beyond

FRANKLIN, WI — The recently announced Luxe Golf Bays project underway at Ballpark Commons in Franklin will include a new hot dog franchise restaurant previously unseen in Wisconsin, the owner of the development announced in a news release Tuesday.

ROC Ventures announced it will open five franchise locations of the California-based Dog Haus restaurant in the Milwaukee and Waukesha areas. The first location will be tethered to the new Luxe Golf Bays development, a year-round entertainment center in Franklin slated for completion in May 2022. The new Dog Haus restaurant could be open as soon as next summer, according to ROC Ventures.

Dog Haus, not to be confused with the Milwaukee-based chain that goes by The Dogg Haus, initially caught the eye of Mike Zimmerman, president of ROC Ventures. The news release said he was already a huge fan of the brand and menu, but what sold him on bringing the franchise to Wisconsin was the restaurant's ghost kitchen concepts.

"We couldn’t be more excited that ROC Ventures is planning to make Dog Haus’ Wisconsin debut in their phenomenal development," Dog Haus Director of Franchise Development Erik Hartung said in a statement. "Zimmerman and his crew have extensive knowledge of the area and a proven track record of success in bringing one-of-a-kind concepts, like Dog Haus, to new areas. We look forward to teaming up with them as we bring The Absolute Würst to the Milwaukee and Waukesha areas.”

ROC Ventures plans on opening five locations across Milwaukee and Waukesha. The locations will serve a full menu that includes hotdogs, sausages, burgers, fried chicken and sides. The many burgers and sandwiches advertised on the menu tout unique names such as "Bad Mutha Clucka," "The Hangover," "The Hot Chick," and "Holy Aioli."

Alongside its planned high-tech, climate-controlled golf bays, the Luxe Golf Bays project is slated to include another restaurant as well. A 98-room hotel, retail building, brewpub and mixed-use apartments are also in the works for the development at Ballpark Commons. ROC Ventures is spearheading the Luxe Golf Bays and Dog Haus franchise projects.
