Event WIll Teach Greendale How To Be Green

'Green up Greendale' will feature about 40 exhibitors.

Nearly 40 exhibitors will participate  in the Green Up Greendale event on Saturday that will highlight ways to be green, sustainable, healthy and socially responsible.

students will have projects on display that showcase alternative energy and community development plans for water usage.

Other presentations include topics such as the ABC’s of energy efficiency in your home, container gardening, pesticides and your health, basic bicycle maintenance, water quality in the greater Milwaukee area, ways to preserve food, and products available for home water efficiency.

Exhibitors include Urban Ecology Center, Johnson Controls, Wehr Nature Center, Sweet Water, Goodwill, Madam J’s Jams and Jellies, Cory the Bike Fixer, MMSD, Holistic Moms Network, MATC, Children’s Orchard, Slow Food Wisconsin Southeast, Wild Ones Landscaping and Midwest Renewable Energy Association.

The presentation will held May 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at. It is sponsored by Greendale Goes Green Committee.
