Greendale Police Posts Application for Police Chief

Position pays between $80,000 and $100,000 annually.

The has started its search for a police chief.  The police and fire commission recently posted an ad on the village website.

Robert Dams retired as chief on Dec. 31 after 37 years of service, 11 of which he spent as police chief. Capt. Bob Malasuk is serving as interim police chief.

The commission is starting its nationwide search for a permanent police chief. Malasuk has shown interest in the position.

They are looking for someone to head up the 56-member police department and that has a bachelor’s degree in political science or related degree. The candidate should have at least five years of police supervisory experience.

The annual salary for the position is $80,568 to $100,095. Applicants will take oral, written, physical and psychological exams, drug screening and thorough background investigation.
