Kudos to the Greendale Police
I can say from personal experience that Greendale police are doing their job.

Every Monday morning at 9 a.m. I start my day with a regional conference call with other Patch editors in the region. Then I head over to the station to pick up the weekly reports for the police blotter. This past Monday was a particularly funny one.
I live on 60th Street and Coldspring Road. It's a straight shot down 60th Street and less than a five minute drive to the station. I drive down that road probably everyday. I never knew that the speed limit was 30 miles per hour. I just always figured it was 35 miles. Boy was I wrong.
As I was driving to the police station and I noticed a Greendale police car parked near Reader's Digest. Even though I saw the car I did not think to slow because I didn't think I was going fast. It's been my understanding that police pull over anyone going over 10 and I was driving 44 miles per hour.

As I'm about to make the left turn into the police station I see the sirens flash behind me. That's when the police officer told me that the speed limit is 30 and that I was speeding.
I could not help but chuckle as I handed him my license and insurance. The irony of it made me laugh. As I'm heading to the police station I get pulled over and get a fat $80 speeding citation.

After all was said done, I finally made my left turn into the station and picked up the reports.
I can at least affirm that Greendale police are doing their jobs to keep the streets safe. Now I know that the speed limit on 60th Street is 30.
