Postal Workers Offer Solution to Fix the Budget

Post office employees are supporting a bill to use retirement money to help the budget, reported FOX6Now.

Postal workers said that the postal service is in the hole and broke. There has been talk about Saturay post offices closures. Those operations are being moved to the Franklin-Hales Coner post office. Some mail carriers were transferred and others were let go.

Postal workers say they have a solution. In 2006 that U.S. Postal Service was required to pay for worker benefits up front and it costs them almost six billion dollars a year.

Protestors are gathering signatures for a petition urging support for a new bill that will eliminate the rule.
