Prelim Hearing Set for Greendale Man Accused of Producing Child Porn

Criminal complaint says there were two victims.

Chad Winkie, the Greendale man accused of knowingly possessing child pornography and producing child pornography at his home, is being held at the Kenosha County Jail until his preliminary hearing on Aug. 2 in the United States District Court.

The minutes from a July 25 detention hearing in front of Magistrate Judge Nancy Joseph stated Winkie’s wife did not want him released, that he had been terminated from his employment and that his home might be in foreclosure.

Winkie did not contest the order of detention.

Winkie allegedly took pornographic videos and photographs of a 13-year-old girl and 11-year-old girl at his home in the 5400 block of Montgomery Drive and also forced the girls to take pictures of their own private parts, according to the criminal complaint. It also states that videos found in Winkie’s home depict him engaging in sexual acts with one of the victims. One of the victims told authorities that Winkie took between 60 and 100 photos of her.

According to statements from the victims, Winkie allegedly took pornographic photos of the girls over at least three years.

One of the victims told authorities that she did not report it any sooner because Winkie threatened to kill her, acccording to the criminal complaint.

The investigation began when the 13-year-old girl reported to Greendale Police that Winkie had allegedly taken inappropriate photographic images of her while at the home on Montgomery Drive.

Forensic analysis of Winkie’s computer may result in additional charges, according to Greendale police.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 2 at 1:30 p.m. before Judge Joseph.
