[Update] Aaron Rodgers To Play Against The Vikings
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is expected to take the field against the Minnesota Vikings.

GREEN BAY, WI — Aaron Rodgers is expected to take the field against the Minnesota Vikings during their Sunday, Sep. 16 NFL game at Lambeau Field according to multiple reports early Sunday.
According to an ESPN report, Rodgers' injury is "unusual, and could take up to two months to heal.
"The star quarterback does not have any ligament damage, according to the source, who said the injury is more of a 'compression injury from blunt force while bent,'" the ESPN report stated.

Rodgers underwent rehab during the week and participated in his first team practice on Saturday.
Rodgers was hurt Sunday when Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris fell on his leg in the first half. According to ESPN, the injured knee is the same knee Rodgers has had surgically repaired twice.

Rodgers missed three series in the first half against the Chicago Bears Sunday night after suffering a leg injury. With the Packers down 0-20 to the Bears, Rodgers surprised the crowd at Lambeau Field when he came back to the field in the second half.
While limping around the pocket, Rodgers threw three touchdowns and led his team to a stunning comeback over the Bears, 24-23.
The Vikings play the Packers 12 p.m. Sunday in Green Bay on FOX. Vikings-Packers is a pick 'em game, meaning there's no point spread, according to Vegas Insider.
Vikings Head Coack Mike Zimmer was skeptical that Rodgers would sit out next week against the team's division rival: "Yeah, he walks on water, so I'm sure he's gonna play," he quipped this week in an interview.
According to Packers.com, Head Coach Mike McCarthy told reporters on Friday morning Saturday’s final run-through was “big indicator" to see if Rodgers is going to play.

"We do have some information and no decision has been made," Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Monday. "We're still collecting all the information." But Rodgers was more confident immediately after beating the Bears: "I'm playing next week," Rodgers, smiling, told NBC's Michele Tafoya immediately after the game.
