All Suburban Milwaukee Businesses Can Reopen Starting Friday

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Residents in Milwaukee County's 18 suburban municipalities will get a boost after health departments banded together to announced that "all remaining business in the 18 suburban municipalities" are able to reopen this Friday if they wish.

Hours after the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down Gov. Tony Evers' Safer At Home order on May 13, health officials issued their own order, keeping certain restrictions in place at least until the end of the day on May 21.

With that end date in sight, health officials set limits on specific businesses. Those limits are set to move into the next phase starting on May 22. Cudahy was the lone Milwaukee County community to rescind their own Safer At Home order. They did so on May 15.

As for the rest of the suburban Milwaukee County communities, restaurants and bars will be able to reopen at 50 percent capacity starting Friday. Salon and spa services will be able to open at 25 percent capacity. Gyms and fitness centers can also reopen at 25 percent capacity.
