Candidates Sought for Library Board

The Library Board of the Greenfield Public Library is now seeking nominations to fill several upcoming Board vacancies. If you are an avid reader and are looking for a volunteer activity to put your talents to work, please consider this opportunity.

Library Board members must be Greenfield residents over the age of 18 with an interest in serving. The qualifications are as follows:

“Board members exhibit an awareness of the community; a willingness to devote their time and talents; the ability to think clearly, to question objectively and plan creatively; skill in communicating and cooperating; plus an awareness and appreciation of the library's past, present and future role in the community. Diversity in background, age and area of residence bring balance to the Board.” The Library Board meets once a month for 2-3 hours on the second Thursday evening of each month; a Library Board term of service is 3 years.
