The Greenfield High School Hustlin' Hawks Soccer Team donated $160 to the Hunger Task Force to help warm the hearts and homes of families facing hunger on Thanksgiving.
The team was able to make the funds available through the "Change for Change" program that it held during the soccer season. Each time the Hawks scored a goal, fans were encouraged to make a donation. Proceeds were donated to the Hunger Task Force and used to help offset costs related to the team's annual banquet.
Coach Steven Larson said that in tough economic times, it was commendable that players and fans recognized the importance and need to help those less fortunate in the community and gave what they could.

"Your organization recognized the need in the Milwaukee area and answered the call for help," Hunger Task Force Executive Director Sherrie Tussler said. "We all give thanks at this time of the year, but your organization has shown that sharing what we have is the true measure of the Thanksgiving spirit. Thanks to this gift, Hunger Task Force can continue to provide free food to the hungry in our community, ensuring that families are fed and can have those special traditions during this holiday season."
