The "Battle of the Bands" fundraiser has been cancelled "due to schedule conflicts with other local teen events and lack of sufficient band interest," according to library director Sheila O'Brien. The event, which was to feature middle and high school bands in a competition at the library, was originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19. According to O'Brien, other dates in the spring and summer are being considered, and band members interested in being contacted when a date is established should call the library at 414-321-9595 Ext. 222.
