GREENFIELD, WI — Police were called out to a building in the 4100 block of 43rd Street on May 26 for reports of a possible burglary from a commercial alarm company, according to the latest logs from the Greenfield Police Department.

Police found that forced entry had been made to the building through a window and cameras showed a man entering, but nothing of significant value was reported missing, according to logs.

  • A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 4200 block of 35th Street on May 23, logs said.
  • Someone smashed a vehicle's window in the 5100 block of Layton Avenue on May 23 and was later cited for criminal damage to property, logs said.
  • Someone broke into a car and took wallets from it in the 4400 block of 108th Street around May 24, logs said.
  • A catalytic converter was reported stolen from the 3100 block of Mangold Avenue on May 25, logs said.
  • Someone told police that an unknown person opened a check he mailed, forged it for a higher amount and deposited it into someone's account on May 25, logs said.
  • A Kia was reported stolen from a lot in the 4000 block of 65th Street on May 26 and later recovered, logs said.
  • A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 4700 block of 27th Street on May 26, logs said.
  • Someone seemed to try breaking into a Kia parked in the 5200 block of 27th Street on May 28, logs said. A window was smashed in the car and the steering column was peeled, logs said.
