The renovation of the city's old library into the new community center will ceremoniously begin this week. City officials will swing a celebratory sledge hammer in a wall-breaking ceremony at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the old library, 7216 W. Cold Spring Rd. The project will be completely in donations gathered in recent years, including $20,000 from Ted Balistreri, owner of Sendik's Food Market, last month.
