Crash Leaves Greenfield 18-Year-Old With Serious Injuries: Police
A crash between a car and a pedestrian early Tuesday morning in West Allis left a Greenfield man with serious injuries, police said.
WEST ALLIS, WI — An 18-year-old from Greenfield suffered serious injuries when a car hit him as he was crossing the street near 108th Street and Lincoln Avenue early Tuesday morning, according to a news release from the West Allis Police Department.
The crash was reported around 6:15 a.m. The initial investigation found the car was driving north on 108th when it struck the pedestrian, police said. The pedestrian was crossing the roadway against the traffic signals, police said.
The 18-year-old was brought to a local hospital after the crash, police said. The driver of the car, identified as a 57-year-old woman from West Allis, is cooperating as police continue to investigate, the news release said.

Police said alcohol and speed do not seem to be factors in the crash.
Tuesday's crash near Lincoln Avenue and 108th comes weeks after a crash just blocks down the road left a 4-year-old dead. A man has since been charged in connection with that June 15 crash.
