Dinos Descend Upon The Domes

New family exhibit feature fours realistic-looking dinosaurs and hands-on activities for the kids.

Saturday marks the opening day of a new exhibit at the Mitchell Park Domes called "Dinos Under Glass."

The exhibit in the Tropical Dome features four realistic-looking dinosaur models placed amid the kind of plants that existed at the time. The four — allosaurus, stegosaurus, triceratops and dromaeosaurus — range in size from 9 to 16 feet tall.

Not only will families have the chance to get up close to the creatures, but the exhibit includes interactive dinosaur-related activities, such as a scavenger hunt and crossword puzzle.

The Domes, located at 524 S. Layton Blvd., are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $6.50 for adults and $5 for seniors and children ages 6 to 17. Children under 6 are free.

For more information, call (414) 257-5611 or visit the Domes website.
