The Greenfield Police Department is hosting a drug take-back event. Here's what to know.

GREENFIELD, WI — The Greenfield Police Department has planned a drug take-back event for April 30 for people to dispose of unwanted or expired medications.

The federally organized event will take place at the Greenfield Police Department, 5300 West Layton Avenue, from 10-2 p.m., the department said in a Facebook post Wednesday.

An officer will be in the lobby during that time frame to accept medications. The department is asking for people to leave liquids in their original containers but to remove pills from their containers and to bring those in a bag.
