El Chile Loco Restaurant Proposed At Site Of Former Carl's Catering
A Mexican-American restaurant was proposed for the site of the former Carl's Catering in Greenfield, city documents showed.

GREENFIELD, WI — A new restaurant featuring Mexican-American cuisine is being proposed for the former site of Carl's Catering, according to Greenfield city documents.
The 5510 West Loomis Road location would operate as a full-service restaurant with catering and additional entertainment down the line, although it is not set to open immediately. The new owner may plan on improving or changing the existing 7,000 square foot building, city documents noted.
The Greenfield Plan Commission approved an initial site plan and landscaping plan for the business on Nov. 8, with members, saying that additional changes may require further approval. The Common Council is scheduled to consider the proposal's site and landscaping plan on Tuesday.

A representative for the buyer, Jan Kadow from Anderson Commercial Group, told Plan Commission members on Nov. 8 that the intent is to remodel the building and add 2,000 feet to a second floor. The second floor may feature a bar with some outside seating, Kadow said. Moving forward, phase two would be a banquet hall, Kadow noted.
The business also applied for an entertainment license for consideration Tuesday by the common council. The application notes there will be a dance floor open until 2 a.m. on weekends with bands coming in to play music. There will also be music on an outside balcony, the application noted.
