Ethan's Run To Help People Struggling With Opioid Addiction

Ethan Monson-Dupuis struggled with an opioid addiction until an overdose took his life. A run in his honor is hoping to help others.

GREENFIELD, WI — The family of a 25-year-old Greenfield man who lost his life to an opioid addiction and overdose in 2016 is transforming their grief into ways to help others who may be struggling with addiction.

Couple Robin and Jeff Monson-Dupuis lost their son Ethan to a heroin overdose in December 2016 after exhausting every resource they knew of to help their son.

According to a WTMJ 4 report, when Ethan was a senior in high school, prescription drugs that were used to treat depression led to an opioid abuse and later a heroin addiction.
