Planning Commission Meeting

AGENDA FOR THE PLAN COMMISSION MEETING TO BE HELD AT THE GREENFIELD CITY HALL IN THE COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS, ROOM 100, ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2012  AT 6:30 P.M.

1. The meeting called to order and roll call.


2. Approval of the September 11, 2012 Regular Meeting minutes.


3. Approval of the September 18, 2012 Special Meeting minutes


4. Discussion regarding the Common Council meeting held on September 18.


5. Open Flame Restaurant, 5081 S. 108^th St., Hales Corners 53130, represented by Greg Butts, Realty Management Consultants, 4811 S. 76^th St., Suite 211, 53220, requests a new Certified Survey Map to replace CSM #6574 (fm. 1998); even though the predominate acreage of the restaurant is in Hales Corners, there is a 20’ x 205’ portion of this land which straddles the corporate limit line and is in Greenfield that is affected by the proposed new CSM. Tax Key #612-8973 and 612-9997-007.


6. Arlington Cemetery, 4001 S. 27^th Street, represented by Greg Butts, Realty Management Consultants, 4811 S. 76^th Street, Suite 211, 53220, requests a Comprehensive Land Use Plan change (‘Mixed Residential’ to ‘Community Facilities’) of approx. five acres of vacant land at the northwest corner of the Arlington Cemetery parcel for a potential location of a worship site for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.    Tax Key #576-9999-002.


7. Marsel Feto, Marsel’s Pizzeria, 6131 Cold Spring Rd., 53220 requests a Special Use Amendment for the purpose of wanting to sell beer and wine at this restaurant.  Tax Key #603-9999-001.


8. Craig Mengeling, DC Capital Investments LLC, 3347 S. Sunnyslope Rd., Apt. 206, New Berlin 53151 requests a Special Use Permit for a combination of proposed uses at 5225 Forest Home Ave. in the structure built in 1860s to establish a residence, have outside storage, and include a commercial food preparation/sales use.  [[Prior review at August 14 Plan Com.; and public hearing held at September 18 Common Council meeting; modifications made to the initial proposal which is why this item is back before the PC.]] Tax Key #530-8998-001.


9. David Ross, Dr. Dawg LLC., The Glendale Market, 6969 N. Port Washington Rd., Glendale 53217 requests a Special Use Review as a new restaurant owner/operator for the former Hooters Restaurant site at 7700 W. Layton Ave.;  there is a request for a Site/Building Landscaping Review for the purpose of doing building color changes and parking lot improvements; there is a request for a PC Sign Waiver to allow the free-standing sign to be a pylon-type sign instead of a monument-style due to line-of-sight issues for vehicles leaving west driveway; and there is a request for a Special Use amendment to have an outdoor patio on the south side of the building which would also be designated for an additional alcohol serving area and to create a drive-thru system in the north parking lot area.  Tax Key #605-9944-006
