Planning Commission to Revisit Ridge Community Church Proposal

It appears the city's Planning Commission is satisfied with the changes made to a proposed church in the 9500-9700 block of Layton Avenue.

In tonight's meeting packet, the commission's recommendation is to approve the proposal, subject to Planning Commission and staff comments, about a month after the commission told church representatives their plan needed some improvements.

Last month, with the number of parking spaces the church was projecting and did not care for the building's exterior materials.

The newest proposal says the church plans to use burnished masonry and glass, instead of mostly metal panals. As for parking, more discussion is expected to take place at Tuesday's meeting.
